After a lengthy period of contemplation of I’ve decided to draw a line in the sand and hang up my proverbial guitar pick (disclaimer below).
That’s 40 years of professional live music, the last 12 of those as a solo musician. When I say professional I mean they actually pay me to do this stuff. Whether I’ve always acted professionally is debatable.
So here’s the disclaimer – no more solo gigs. No thankyou. Never again. Our duo Saltwater Jam is still alive but in a gig drought at the moment. Also I’m not ruling out the possibility of becoming a collaborating member of another musical outfit, but the odds are low. And of course I’m still giving guitar lessons at Music Force.
So that’s pretty much the end of a long roller coaster ride. Big thanks to those who’ve shared it with me. I’m looking forward to having something called a weekend again!
